Stop the Bleed is a federally initiated program directed at teaching community members the simple skills of recognizing, locating, and stopping potentially life threatening bleeding. This course takes approximately 1 ½ hours and teaches techniques from simple bleeding control to wound packing and ultimately application of a tourniquet. These skills can be absolutely life saving for someone suffering a bleeding emergency and can happen any time anywhere from work, home, schools, churches, parks, roads, etc. Please advise participants this can be a very graphic, but necessary course.
